CORPORATE/PUBLIC SPEAKING

FINE TUNE YOUR SPEAKING

ELIMINATE speech idiosyncracies that may be holding you back, professionally and personally.

I M P O R T A N T
The way you speak tells people a lot about you. Studies have shown that people can tell -- or think they can tell - - where you are from, your level of education, degree of success, confidence, sophistication, wealth, and even the amount of kindness and intelligence you possess, based on your voice.

Many people struggle well into their careers with speech differences that affect how they are perceived in the workplace, as well as in their personal lives. Squeaky voices, regional dialects, lisps, glottal letter formation, stammers, space-fillers, and other speech characteristics can transmit impressions about speakers that distract from the content of their verbal communications. While these impressions are often based in stereotypes and false assumptions, that does not offset their negative impact.

YOU CAN CHANGE THE WAY YOU SPEAK!

  • Speak more clearly and audibly.
  • Develop more effective elocution.
  • Speak with more authority.
  • Eliminate erroneous assumptions about who you are; let the value of your communications shine through, without allowing your distinctive manner of speaking to distract from your message

STUDENT RAVES:

I feel super lucky to have met and worked with Doriane. She is way more than a vocal coach, she's a career coach. Doriane genuinely cares and wants you to succeed. She was able to see my strengths right away . I always leave my sessions with Dor feeling inspired and motivated!- Patrick Tyler Johnson

I'm a thinker and a do-er -- not a speaker. Public speaking is not my strongpoint. I had to give an address at Arlington National Cemetery, and I was terrified it was going to go all wrong. I would speed up, slow down, even uncomfortably stutter here and there. I simply did not feel effective. Doriane showed me how I can use my body to harness my nervous energy, create a natural rhythem and cadence when presenting, and gave me the skills I needed for a VERY SUCCESSFUL speech.- Shayne Newman

Doriane is a brilliant and gifted teacher who knows the way we speak inside-out. I am struck again and again by how smart she is, and how sensitive her ears are; not a single word or syllable uttered incorrectly escapes her attention. But this quest for perfection does not make her merely an exacting teacher, instead she nurtures her students with utmost respect, compassion and patience, helping them reach their potential. More than a coach, she fully vests herself in her students' overall journey and success. Doriane is a true gift as a coach and a gem of a human being!- Essie Bartosik

Dor has an ear and she knows how to use it! She also knows how to TEACH it, which is a whole other beast. She is a sharp breaker of bad habits, and her techniques are clear and practical. Using them has changed my game.- Kaylin Lee Clinton

Doriane immediately puts you at ease. You really get that she wants you to succeed - and she is a fierce advocate for her students. She helps you zoom in to find the rhythm of speech, focus on what needs to be accomplished, and finds the most effective way to do so. She cracks the whip, but it's tons of fun. Doriane is fierce, focused, and phenomenal. Highly recommended.- Elizabeth Mialaret
